“Humko Unse” (We Are From Them) isn’t just a song; it’s a tribute to legendary poets and a testament to the power of raw, unadulterated expression. The story behind its creation reveals our deep appreciation for poetry and our desire to share it with the world in its purest form.
When we envisioned MWM, we knew we wanted to collaborate with the greats – poets like Firaaq , Jaanisar Akhtar Ghalib . Their words, as we say, are “life defining,” and we sought to capture their essence in a unique way.
Instead of creating traditional songs with elaborate arrangements and programming, we envisioned a stripped-down approach. The focus was to be solely on the poetry, its voice, and its impact. These legends, we believed, deserved to be heard in their purest form, unburdened by additional elements.
“Humko Unse” became the first thread woven into this unique tapestry . “Tarannum ” (melody).
There were no programmers, no intricate arrangements Just the purest form of raw, unplugged creation. This is the essence of MWM’s “poets’ corner” – a space where the power of words takes center stage.
The original poems by these legends will remain untouched, preserved in the MWM archive. But through projects like “Humko Unse,” we aim to present them in their simplest form, allowing the thoughts and emotions of the poet to shine through without the veil of elaborate production.
